Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) is looking for a creative, culturally curious and hands-on Social Media Manager to shape and drive our social media presence.
We are looking for a self-driven profile with a strong understanding of social media, fashion and culture, combined with an excellent eye for content. You know what makes an image or video work, understand how different platforms behave and can turn ideas, events and industry moments into relevant and engaging content.
This is a role with a high level of ownership, combining strategic planning with hands-on content creation and channel management. You will report directly to the Marketing Director and work closely with the wider marketing team, including the CIFF Media Podcast Lead and Sponsorship & Partnerships Manager, as well as colleagues and partners across the organisation.
The Role
As Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing CIFF’s social media strategy across our year-round activities, international initiatives and biannual trade fairs.
You will translate CIFF’s brand, events, partnerships, communities and industry position into strong, platform-native content that builds engagement, strengthens our relevance and supports our wider marketing and business objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Owning and continuously developing CIFF’s social media strategy in close collaboration with the Marketing Director.
- Planning, managing and executing the social media content calendar across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Newsletter and relevant emerging platforms.
- Translating CIFF’s fairs, events, partnerships, brand stories and year-round activities into engaging social concepts and content.
- Creating social-first photo and video content independently, from ideation and shooting to editing, publishing and optimisation.
- Capturing and publishing content live from CIFF fairs, events, activations and international initiatives.
- Bringing a strong visual perspective to CIFF’s channels, with a solid understanding of photography, videography, composition, lighting, movement and editing.
- Identifying opportunities for agile, low-production content alongside larger campaigns and creative productions.
- Working closely with the Marketing Director and wider marketing team to ensure a consistent visual identity and tone of voice across all channels.
- Collaborating with the CIFF Media Podcast Lead to amplify podcast content, conversations and industry insights across social media.
- Supporting partnerships and sponsor activations with relevant and engaging social content.
- Identifying cultural moments, conversations, trends and emerging formats that are relevant to CIFF and the wider fashion and lifestyle industry.
- Developing initiatives that grow CIFF’s social community and strengthen engagement with brands, buyers, press, creatives and industry professionals.
- Managing content publishing, community engagement, channel optimisation and ongoing platform development.
- Using data and audience insights to understand performance, identify opportunities and continuously improve CIFF’s approach.
- Defining and reporting on relevant social media KPIs and translating performance into clear recommendations and actions.
- Staying ahead of developments in social media, fashion, culture and digital behaviour, and proactively bringing new ideas into the organisation.
- Coordinating relevant external creators, photographers, videographers and agencies when needed.
- Managing multiple content streams and deadlines in the lead-up to and during CIFF’s fairs and events.
About You
We are looking for someone with 3+ years of relevant experience in social media, content creation or digital marketing, ideally within fashion, lifestyle, culture, media, events or another creatively driven industry.
You combine social media expertise, creative judgement and hands-on content skills. You understand fashion and visual culture and have a clear sense of what makes content relevant to both a brand and its audience.
You are self-driven and comfortable taking ownership. You spot opportunities, develop ideas and make things happen without needing constant direction. You have the maturity and judgement to make decisions independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
We imagine that you:
- Have a proven track record of managing social media channels and creating engaging content.
- Have a strong visual eye and practical photography, videography and editing skills.
- Understand social-first storytelling and how to adapt content to different platforms and audiences.
- Have a strong understanding of Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and the wider social media landscape.
- Combine strategic thinking with the ability and willingness to create and execute content yourself.
- Have a genuine interest in fashion, brands, culture, events and emerging creative formats.
- Are proactive, resourceful and confident taking an idea from concept to execution.
- Are comfortable working quickly and capturing content in live event environments.
- Can use data and insights to inform both creative and strategic decisions.
- Are organised and able to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Are curious, collaborative and motivated by creating content that connects people and communities.
