Overview

The Social Media & Partnerships Manager will be instrumental in building the BISSELL brand outside its North American origin, focusing on key European markets. You will define and lead BISSELL's social media, creator, influencer and social commerce strategy, working closely with colleagues across Europe and globally, agencies and platform partners to accelerate brand growth and commercial performance.

We're on an exciting journey to reinvent the role social media plays within BISSELL—from primarily publishing content and supporting paid campaigns to making social the centre of how consumers discover, experience and engage with our brand. Through compelling storytelling, creator partnerships, innovative activations and social commerce, you will transform social media into a key driver of brand awareness, brand preference and business growth.

You will lead the team responsible for building BISSELL's social ecosystem across Europe—defining our channel strategy, creator partnerships, social commerce roadmap, agency model, content approach, measurement framework and innovation agenda. You will continuously test, learn and scale new opportunities that strengthen both our brand and commercial performance.

You are a digital storyteller with exceptional commercial awareness, combining creativity, consumer understanding and data to build meaningful connections with consumers. You are equally comfortable discussing creative ideas, business strategy and performance metrics with agencies, senior leadership and commercial teams.

You will lead an in-house team and report to the Associate Director Demand Generation Europe. Primary interfaces include Performance Marketing & Media, Brand & Content, Digital Shopper (DTC, Amazon, Marketplaces), Category Marketing, Commercial teams, global counterparts, distributors, platform partners and agencies.

Responsibilities

Build a strategic three-year vision for Social Media, Creator Marketing and Social Commerce across Europe, translating consumer trends, platform evolution and business priorities into annual plans and investment strategies.
Lead and develop BISSELL's social media capability to increase brand awareness, strengthen brand preference and deliver measurable commercial growth across key European markets.
Define and execute an integrated creator, influencer and social commerce strategy, including affiliate marketing and TikTok Shop, continuously testing and scaling new growth opportunities.
Develop innovative and experiential brand activations that create cultural relevance, generate earned media and build consumer preference beyond traditional social campaigns.
Lead BISSELL's social content ecosystem, including content strategy, editorial planning, localisation, community engagement and creative excellence across owned and earned channels.
Build strategic partnerships with agencies, creators, Meta, TikTok and other platform partners to unlock innovation, strengthen capabilities and maximise business impact.
Champion AI adoption across social planning, content creation, reporting, workflow automation and insights to improve efficiency, decision making and overall team output.
Leverage social listening, consumer insights and performance data to identify opportunities, optimise campaigns and translate insights into compelling business recommendations for senior leadership.
Partner closely with Commercial, Category, DTC, Amazon and Performance Marketing teams to ensure social investments support broader business priorities and revenue growth.
Own social media investment, measurement and performance, defining KPIs across brand, engagement and commerce while continuously optimising ROI and business impact.
Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing team, fostering innovation, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
10+ years of experience leading social media, creator marketing and digital brand building in-house or within an agency.
Proven experience developing integrated social strategies across multiple European markets.
Demonstrated success building creator, influencer and ambassador programmes that deliver both brand and commercial results.
Experience developing social commerce initiatives, including affiliate marketing and TikTok Shop.
Strong experience working with Meta, TikTok, YouTube and emerging social platforms.
Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and AI-powered social platforms) to improve planning, reporting, analysis, presentations, content development and team productivity.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect social investments to business growth.
Experience managing agencies, budgets and cross-functional teams in a global matrix organisation.
Excellent presentation, storytelling and stakeholder management skills, including presenting recommendations and performance to senior leadership.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

Experience within FMCG, consumer electronics or other consumer-focused brands.
Business-to-consumer (B2C) experience.
Experience with influencer marketing platforms and creator management tools.
Experience working with social listening and consumer insight platforms.
Experience creating content (copywriting, photography, videography or design) is a plus.
Knowledge of additional European languages is an advantage.
