Role Overview
We are seeking an energetic, charismatic, and reliable WhatNot Live Host & Moderator.
Your core job is on-camera execution: hosting high-energy live streams, selling products, and moderating streams when you aren't hosting. Running a successful stream also requires strict operational discipline—scheduling shows, inputting sales into our system, and managing customer service.
Key Responsibilities (The Main Job)
- Live Hosting & On-Camera Sales
- Drive Live Revenue: Host fast-paced, interactive WhatNot streams that showcase products, answer buyer questions, and keep viewers entertained.
- Maintain High Energy: Keep the chat active, run live auctions, and build a loyal community of repeat buyers.
- Stream Moderation & Back-End Operations
- Moderate Live Shows: Step into the helper role to moderate chat, highlight products, and support other hosts during live streams when you are not hosting
- Show Setup & Scheduling: Set up upcoming WhatNot shows in advance, schedule streams on time, and verify product inventory and pricing before going live.
- Data Entry & Customer Care: Log sales directly into our back-end system, maintain accurate logs, and resolve customer service inquiries during and after streams.
Core Requirements
- On-Camera Presence: Extremely comfortable, articulate, and magnetic on camera.
- Operational Dependability: Punctual, organized, and meticulous with data entry, show scheduling, and customer support. No exceptions.
- Pop Culture Fluency: Genuine enthusiasm for pop culture, fandoms, and collectibles.
Candidate Multiplier (A Massive Plus 🚀)
- Photoshop & Short-Form Video Skills: While live hosting is your primary responsibility, candidates with a strong background in Adobe Photoshop and short-form video editing (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut) will jump to the top of our list. Experience creating viral TikToks, Reels, or product graphics is a huge advantage and proves your creative versatility.

The Live Stream Audit: Tune in to catch our live WhatNot streams so you see how we run our shows in real time. We are live Monday–Friday, 3 shows a day:
Morning Show: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM PST
Afternoon Show: 2:00 PM – 4:45 PM PST
Evening Show: 5:45 PM – 8:45 PM PST
(We will ask you specific questions about our current social content and WhatNot shows during your interview).
