Junior E-commerce Manager

byACRE

🌏 Copenhagen, DenmarkFull-TimeAmazonE-commerce

You know e-commerce. Here you’ll get good at it.

byACRE is a Danish company revolutionizing the perception of assistive devices through industry-leading products and brand building – recognized internationally with FedEx Europe’s Most Innovative Start-Up award and several product design awards in the EU, US and Japan.

We sell rollators. Except that’s not really what our customers are buying. They’re buying the walk into town on a Sunday, the trip to Rome they’d written off, the freedom to leave the house without planning it first. Nobody wakes up wanting a medical aid – they want their life back, and they want it to look good.

That makes this one of the more interesting things you can sell online. An emotional, considered purchase in a category everyone else treats as beige plastic from a catalogue, sold across webshops in several countries and on marketplaces from Amazon to Rakuten in Japan. Every product page, every image, every shipping rule and every variant has to be right – or the customer walks, and settles for something ugly.

The role

You’ll work side by side with our Global E-commerce Manager on everything we sell online, reporting to our Head of D2C. Every task on this list is one you’ll take on together with him. Roughly 40% of your time goes to byACRE.com, 40% to marketplaces, and 20% to SEO – though we don’t police the split. You go where you’re needed.

Running the shops
•     Create and maintain products, variants and content across Magento 2, WordPress, Amazon and Rakuten
•     Set up shipping rules, pricing and the practical machinery that makes a shop actually sell
•     Keep every place we sell optimally ready for sale – our own shops and every marketplace storefront alike. You’re not alone on Japanese; we have a colleague for the language.
•     Watch for retailers and copycats listing our products on marketplaces, and for Brand Transparency violations – then get them taken down

Improving it
•     Improve product pages: copy, imagery, structure, the things that decide whether a visit becomes an order
•     Run A/B tests and CRO work, and user research when we need to know why rather than what
•     Work with SEO across everything – our website, our shops and our marketplace listings
•     Manage product feeds
•     Develop campaigns together with marketing, and join product photoshoots so the assets we get are the assets we need

Expanding it
•     Enter and build out new marketplaces
•     Create new language layers as we open new markets

Testing and fixing
•     Test new solutions before they go live, and find the bugs the developers didn’t
•     Troubleshoot the Magento frontend and backend, and brief our internal and external developers – you don’t need to write code, but you need to explain precisely what you want and verify that you got it

Understanding it
•     Analyze performance in GA4 and turn it into decisions, not slides
•     Monthly reporting on shop and marketplace performance
•     Work closely with customer service in both directions – they hear what confuses and frustrates customers, and you fix it at the source; you tell them what’s changing before customers ask
•     Share what you learn with marketing, paid media, email, logistics and B2B – you’ll work with all of them
You’ll work in Magento 2, WordPress, Amazon Seller Central, Rakuten RMS, GA4, Business Central – and Claude,
which is a normal part of how we work here.

How the job grows

You’ll start with clearly defined tasks. As you prove you can be trusted with them, you’ll be given the direction and left to figure out the how. And when you’re ready, your own area – a market, a platform, a discipline that’s yours.

We can’t promise a timeline, because it depends entirely on you. But we can tell you this is how it has actually gone here. Your Head of D2C started part-time working only on the webshop, and now runs e-commerce, customer service and paid advertising. Your closest colleague started tightly managed on the webshop alone, and now owns every platform we sell on with very little supervision.
The same applies to pay. Salary follows your development – if that’s explosive, so is your salary.

This is you

•     Ideally you’ve been the person running e-commerce alone at a smaller shop – fashion is a good example – or you’ve had study-relevant experience doing the same. Recently graduated with a solid theoretical foundation or an academy degree in e-commerce works too.
•     Sharp. Rollators are a complex category and our setup is not a simple one, so you need to grasp complicated things quickly.
•     Commercially minded above all else. You understand what shipping costs mean, what delivery times mean, what pricing means, and what has to be on a shop for it to sell. This matters more to us than any single technical skill.
•     Comfortable with data and able to draw an actual conclusion from it
•     Interested in SEO – experience is an advantage, but curiosity and rigor go further here
•     An eye for design and for how things are built technically
•     Marketplace experience is a plus, not a requirement
•     A genuine team player – which doesn’t mean having no ego. Anyone who wants to win has one, and there are plenty of them here. It just never gets to outrank the team: no sharp elbows, no politics, no winning at a colleague’s expense.
•     Hardworking, humble and set on getting better – you want to be a stronger e-commerce professional in two years than you are today, and you’ll put in the work
•     Fluent with AI. We embrace it to extend what we can do, and we’re critical of what it gives back. You should already be using it daily – at work and in your own life – and know where it’s brilliant and where it quietly gets things wrong.
•     Professional-level fluency in English

What we care about

We want the person who can’t stand it when their shop isn’t sharp. Weak photography bothers you. A vague product description bothers you. A missing variant, a wrong shipping rate, a page that went live with something not quite finished – all of it bothers you, and you fix it, because it’s yours.
Performance matters here. So does a humane and caring environment with real attention to how it feels to work here – and the two aren’t in tension. Without care and pride from every person on the team, there is no performance.
