About us
Silkbet is a new UK-facing sportsbook and online casino. We are built for punters who live for football, racing and the big sporting weekends, backed by a full casino offering of slots, live dealer and table games. We are a small, ambitious team with real backing, a fully licensed platform and a clear goal: to become a trusted name for sports bettors, racing fans and casino players across the UK.
Affiliates will be one of our most important acquisition channels from day one. We are looking for the person who will build that channel from the ground up.The role
As our first Affiliate Manager, you will own the affiliate channel end to end: strategy, partner recruitment, deal structuring, performance and compliance. You will launch the programme, sign our first wave of partners and turn it into a profitable, scalable source of quality depositing players.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who already knows the key UK sports, racing and casino affiliates personally. Tipsters, racing sites, odds comparison platforms, free bet and matched betting communities, sports media publishers, casino review sites and slots streamers should already be in your phone. You will know which deals actually make money, and you will be able to show it with numbers.
As the brand grows, you will help shape the team, the tools and the commercial model behind it.Key responsibilities
Programme launch and strategy
Build and launch the affiliate programme from scratch, including commission plans, terms and conditions, onboarding and payment processes.
Set channel targets for FTDs, NGR, CPA cost and payback period, and own delivery against them.
Select, implement and manage the affiliate platform (e.g. Income Access, MyAffiliates, Cellxpert or similar) together with product and data teams.
Partner acquisition and relationshipsUse your existing network to sign high-value UK sports and racing affiliates ahead of and after launch.
Target the partners who matter most for our audience: racing tipsters and form sites, football and multi-sport tipsters, odds comparison sites, free bet and offer sites, matched betting communities, sports media publishers, and social, YouTube and Telegram creators. On the casino side, this means casino review and comparison sites, new casino and bonus listing sites, and slots streamers.
Build trusted, long-term relationships through regular calls, meetings and industry events such as SBC, ICE, iGB Affiliate and the big racing festivals.
Plan major-event activity with partners around Cheltenham, Aintree, Royal Ascot, the Premier League season and international tournaments.
Commercial managementNegotiate CPA, revenue share and hybrid deals that are profitable for the business and attractive to partners.
Manage tenancy, exclusive and fixed-fee deals, ranking positions and placement buys with clear ROI targets.
Track player quality by partner and adjust deals using data on deposits, retention, NGR, bonus cost and lifetime value.
Manage the affiliate budget and approve monthly commission payments accurately and on time.
Performance and reportingReport weekly and monthly on traffic, registrations, FTDs, conversion, cost per acquisition, NGR and payback by partner.
Spot fraud, bonus abuse and low-quality traffic early, and act on it.
Work with CRM, product, trading and promotions teams so affiliate players get the right offers and experience, including compliant cross-sell between sportsbook and casino.
Compliance and safer gamblingMake sure every partner promotes the brand in line with UK Gambling Commission rules, the CAP and BCAP codes and our own safer gambling standards.
Run partner onboarding checks, monitor partner content regularly and take quick action on any breach.
Supply partners with compliant creative, offer wording and significant T&Cs.Commercial expertise we need
You will need a deep, practical understanding of how affiliate deals make or lose money for a sportsbook. In particular, you should be confident with:
Deal model
What we expect you to know
CPA
Setting CPA levels by partner and traffic type; qualifying criteria (minimum deposit, wagering, turnover); baselines and tiers; how to protect against low-value or incentivised FTDs; clawbacks and quality reviews.
Revenue share
Building tiered rev share plans; how NGR is calculated (bonus costs, admin fees, taxes and duties); negative carryover and its effect on partners; how sports margin swings and big-event results affect affiliate earnings.
Hybrid
Balancing a lower CPA with a rev share tail; when hybrid deals beat pure CPA or pure rev share for each type of partner.
Fixed fees and tenancies
Pricing listings, rankings and sponsorships against expected FTDs and value; negotiating performance-linked guarantees.
You will also understand the bigger picture:How player value differs between horse racing, football and other sports, between sports bettors and casino players, and between casual and high-staking customers.
How to model payback periods and lifetime value, and use them to decide what each partner is worth.
How sportsbook margin volatility affects rev share partners, how this compares with the steadier hold on casino, and how to keep partners motivated through bad months.
How UK affordability checks, online slots stake limits, the 10x cap on bonus wagering, the ban on mixed-product promotions and other safer gambling measures affect conversion, offers and player value. What you'll bring
